What Does God Say about Sexual Sin?
Be Pure / Be Sanctified.
“This is the will of God.”
The word sanctification means to be set apart and separated.
We are to be set apart to God and His will, and His will is moral purity.
It is God’s will to abstain from sexual sin.
It is God’s will to knows how to control his body and/or honor his spouse.
It is God’s will to resist lust. It is not God's will to act like the unsaved.
Why Should I Follow God's Word in this area? (4:6-8)
Sexual Sin defrauds and cheats a brother.
Sexual Sin will be revenged by God.
Sexual Sin is not God’s call; holiness is.
Sexual Sin is a sin against God.
