We will leave the table in the foyer through Sunday!

Ladies, it’s not too late to join. Pick up a copy of the study on Sunday.

As we move closer to Easter, it’s good for our hearts to slow down and remember why this season matters. The weeks leading up to the resurrection remind us that before the empty tomb, there was a cross—before the victory, there was obedience, suffering, and surrender. Jesus did not rush past the pain; He willingly walked through it for our sake. In a world that wants quick fixes and shallow hope, we are called back to the old paths: repentance, faith, and trust in the finished work of Christ.
This season also invites us to honest self-examination. The cross confronts our pride and exposes our need, yet it never leaves us in despair. “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8). Easter hope is not built on our faithfulness, but on His. Because Jesus bore our sin and shame, we are free to lay down our burdens and walk in newness of life.
As a church family, let us use these days to draw nearer to the Lord—through prayer, Scripture, and gratitude. Let our homes and conversations reflect the hope we profess. The same power that raised Jesus from the dead is still at work today, strengthening weary saints and saving lost souls. Easter is coming, and with it the clear reminder that darkness never has the final word.
So take heart. If you are discouraged, remember the cross. If you feel weak, remember the empty tomb. Our Savior lives, His promises stand sure, and our labor in the Lord is not in vain. “Thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Corinthians 15:57).
