Ladies, it’s not too late to join. Pick up a copy of the study on Sunday.

In Acts 2:42, we’re told that the early church “continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.” They didn’t just attend a large gathering once a week and call it done. They lived life together. They learned together. They prayed together. There is something powerful about believers sitting with open Bibles, open hearts, and a shared desire to grow. Small groups are not a modern church trend; they reflect the pattern we see in the New Testament, where faith was nurtured in a close-knit community.
In Hebrews 10:24–25, we are exhorted to “consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together.” A small group provides space to truly get to know one another. In the auditorium, you may hear a sermon; in a small group, you are known. There, burdens are shared, questions are asked, and accountability is lovingly practiced. It is often in those smaller settings that believers are strengthened, restored, and stirred to greater faithfulness.
The Christian life was never meant to be lived in isolation. Just as iron sharpens iron, so one believer sharpens another. When we commit to gathering in a smaller fellowship, we are choosing growth over comfort and connection over convenience. God uses those simple, faithful meetings to deepen roots, build unity, and prepare His people to stand firm in a world that desperately needs the light of Christ.
