Revelation: The Return of the King

No In-Person Services 1/21/24. With everything refreezing today and again tonight, we will be online only for our Sunday services. Thank you for understanding that snow is one thing, but ice is something else.

Snow, More Snow, and Ice!

As I write this note, we have had some snow 3 of the last 5 days on Asher Lane. While beautiful, it has snarled travel for many and kept others completely homebound for this week. Blanketed by this snowy cover, we laid Mrs. Doris Offord to rest Thursday afternoon. Please continue to pray for her family.

Check your email and look next week (mail service has not been running) for your 2023 giving statements. As always, let our treasurer know of any questions or corrections.

Partial 2023 Wrap-Up
You gave over $26,500 to outside ministries, church plants, and missions in 2023! As you gave to our Christmas offering this year, you exceeded our goal by over $505! The total was $8,305! Thank you again for your generosity and for valuing the work of the Lord. You can see the missionaries and groups here at www.hardinvalleychurch.com/christmas

Soon, we hope to have the front entryway columns outfitted with a faux stone base and wood accents. Replacing the carpet in the hallway, lobby, and cafeteria is already in process this month. Your hard work and serving spirit provided audio and video to the nursery workers, refurbished the playground, improved the backyard, installed LED lights in the hallway and auditorium, and so much more.

Our new middle school/high school group teaches young people the Bible and how to apply it daily. We are also enjoying our second year of warm water in the restrooms. πŸ™‚

You helped change lives by sending young people to the Wilds! camp in Brevard, NC, and to their fall retreat in Cookeville, TN.

You paid for advertising and literature that helped us reach almost 200 people on Easter weekend, including many guests, with 66 in attendance that Sunday. Our area-wide Trunk or Treat helped us reach over 1,500 and give away every piece of gospel literature we had!

Friends and Family/Homecoming Sundays saw a high of 62 in the service with several guests over both weekends!

God is using you to help us have over 52 first-time guests this year (31 attended multiple times), see multiple people trust Christ, and several people baptized. 122 different people attended at least one service in 2023.

Simply put, you invested in the work of the Lord and connected your heart to the heart of God. Thank you for helping us as we put Him FIRST in 2023!

If there are issues or items to be corrected, do not hesitate to call the church office or see me at church. It is a joy to serve our church family and our Lord.

January Memory Verses

Revelation 20:11-12

And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.

And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
