The Gospel changes everything—the turning point in history. Even now, it’s changing me from who I was. The story of my Savior calls me to the wonder of the cross. The Gospel changes everything, and it is changing me.
Jesus. Immanuel. The Living Word.
Son of God. The Gospel.
His coming changed all of human history. As we enter the season celebrating his birth, we set aside December 10th for the start of our Annual Christmas Offering. We have set 3 goals, beginning with $4,700, above and beyond our regular giving. From there, we will try to replenish our general fund and erase our budgetary deficit. Our first level will be $3,100, then next will be another $3,100, and so on. As of November 4, we are almost $16,000 behind for the year.
We view these occasions as part of our “gift” to the One whose birthday we celebrate. We will receive this offering until December 31st, but we want our main push to be on the 10th. Your generosity has enabled us to support missions at a 12+ year high level, help reach our community, and see people make professions of faith! As of October 31st, you sent over $17,500 to our missionaries!
Because of our need and the great opportunity to minister in Hardin Valley, we ask everyone to give towards our Christmas offering to support our missionaries and continue reaching the 80,000 people who live directly around our church. Simply put, we are thankful for each faithful, consistent giver. We pray for more to catch the vision of stewardship, and we need those who will give extra for this special offering out of your love for Christ. You may be able to give $2,500, $250, or $25, but let God use you for His glory! Please give thankfully, prayerfully, and sacrificially as you have been blessed. How exciting to try to give more than you did last year!
God has indeed blessed our church these years, and now, as we stand upon 33 years of ministry, we are more excited than ever. For all the people changed by the Gospel this year, we are truly overwhelmed.
