Church Between the Sundays

Getting to know one another is one of the sweetest parts of being a church family. Sunday gives us a wonderful opportunity to worship together, but our fellowship should not end when we walk out the doors. Take time to learn someone’s name, hear their story, pray for their needs, encourage their heart, and look for ways to serve one another. Galatians 6:2 reminds us, “Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.” When we know one another, we are better able to carry one another’s burdens and rejoice together in God’s blessings.

Let’s be “church between the Sundays.” Don’t wait until next Sunday to connect with your church family! Send a text, make a phone call, invite someone to lunch, check on a widow, encourage a young family, or simply let someone know you are praying for them. Hebrews 10:24-25 says, “And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together.” Church is more than a building we attend—it is a family of believers who love Christ and love one another. Let’s make Sunday overflow into Monday through Saturday!
