New Books, New Mercies

“It is of the LORD’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.” — Lamentations 3:22-23

Backpacks are packed. Pencils are sharpened. Schedules are set. For our students, teachers, and families, this season brings a fresh start — new classrooms, new faces, and new challenges.

But before the first bell rings, remember this: the God who is faithful to renew His mercy every morning is the same God who goes before every young person into that classroom, who sits beside your teacher at that desk, who walks with you through every early alarm and late homework night.

A new school year can stir up anxious hearts — will they make friends? Will they keep up? Will they stand firm in what’s right when no one’s watching? Cast those cares on the Lord. He has not changed, even when everything else does.
