Today, we rejoice with those following the Lord in baptism. Baptism is a vital step of obedience. It’s an outward testimony of the inward salvation Christ has already accomplished. It does not save, but it boldly declares that they belong to Jesus and that they desire to walk in the newness of life. Scripture reminds us, “Then they that gladly received his word were baptized” (Acts 2:41). This is the pattern of believers joyfully obeying the Lord.

Let’s commit to come alongside them and pray for each one taking this step, asking God to strengthen their faith, steady their walk, and use their testimony to point many others to Christ.
