Christmas Offering Total

As we stand at the beginning of a new year, God’s people should pause and consider the importance of vision. The Bible reminds us, “Where there is no vision, the people perish” (Proverbs 29:18). Vision is not worldly ambition or human pride; it is seeing clearly what God desires for our lives and committing ourselves to walk in obedience to His Word. A godly vision gives direction, guards us from drifting, and anchors our decisions in eternal truth rather than temporary feelings.
On a personal level, the start of the year is a wise time to set prayerful goals for spiritual growth. This includes renewing our commitment to daily Bible reading, faithful prayer, consistent church attendance, and holy living at home. Goals help us live intentionally rather than reactively. While we trust the Lord to order our steps, we are also called to be diligent and disciplined, redeeming the time God has given us. When our personal goals are shaped by Scripture and surrendered to the Lord, they become tools for spiritual maturity rather than mere resolutions.
As a church family, shared vision unites us in purpose and strengthens our witness to a watching world. Setting goals together helps us labor side by side for the advancement of the Gospel—whether in missions, discipleship, outreach, or strengthening the next generation. Vision keeps the church focused on Christ’s commission and prevents us from becoming comfortable or complacent. As we move forward into a new year, may we seek the Lord together, ask Him to clarify our vision, and commit ourselves to faithful obedience, trusting that He will bless the work that is done for His glory.
