Hope for Today

Hope for Today

Hope in Jesus is an unwavering belief in His promises and a confident expectation of His faithfulness. Hebrews 6:19 affirms this by saying, “Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which entereth into that within the veil.” Just as an anchor provides stability to a ship in the most turbulent waters, our hope in Jesus anchors our souls during life’s storms. This hope transcends earthly circumstances, offering assurance and peace in the midst of trials.

Romans 15:13 reminds believers of the power of hope through the Holy Spirit: “Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.” This verse emphasizes that our hope is not based on wishful thinking but on the active work of God in our lives through the Holy Spirit. It is through this divine influence that our hope flourishes, filling us with joy, peace, and an abundance of hope.

Ultimately, our hope in Jesus is grounded in His resurrection. As 1 Peter 1:3 declares, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.” Jesus’ victory over death fills us with a living hope that transcends the limitations of this world. This hope sustains us through every trial and empowers us to live with confidence, knowing that our future is secure in Him.

February Memory Verses

Revelation 20:13-15

13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
