Choose Life

Deuteronomy 30:19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

With conservative laws & lawmakers closer than ever to changing laws/judges’ rulings that reflect pro life/sanctity of life, are we more pro-life as a nation?

Our problem is we are looking at a Biblical issue as just a political issue.

God Loves Humanity

Psalm 139:14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

God Values Humanity

Jeremiah 1:5 5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

Psalm 139:13 For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb.,

Psalm 139:16 Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.

8 Thine hands have made me and fashioned me together round about; yet thou dost destroy me.

9 Remember, I beseech thee, that thou hast made me as the clay; and wilt thou bring me into dust again?

10 Hast thou not poured me out as milk, and curdled me like cheese?

11 Thou hast clothed me with skin and flesh, and hast fenced me with bones and sinews.

12 Thou hast granted me life and favour, and thy visitation hath preserved my spirit.

Isaiah 44:2 Thus saith the LORD that made thee, and formed thee from the womb, which will help thee; Fear not, O Jacob, my servant; and thou, Jesurun, whom I have chosen.

Job 31:15 Did not he that made me in the womb make him? and did not one fashion us in the womb?

Dignity & Worth

God Set Boundaries for Humanity

God says what is acceptable and what is not.

• Murder is wrong.
• Politics is always iffy, but if we can’t avoid the entanglement, so be it.
• Killing children is murder – inside or outside of a mother’s body.
• Devaluating life because of class or color is wicked.
• We must be involved in rescuing children and promoting foster parenting.
• Life is precious – all lives are precious.
