Pray, Connect, Grow — It’s All Happening This Week at HV

Let’s continue to hold these families up in prayer and come alongside them as they walk out that calling together.

We hope to have the new unit for the auditorium installed this week. Many have wanted to help with this added expense. You can give to this project as you regularly give, just indicate HVAC on the memo line with the extra amount.

Every summer, something happens at The Wilds that is hard to manufacture on a Sunday morning — a young person, away from the noise of everyday life, hears the Gospel with fresh ears and says yes to Jesus for the first time, or a young person who has been drifting finds their footing again. Camp is not a vacation. It is a week of intentional, focused discipleship where our kids are surrounded by solid Bible teaching, godly counselors, and the kind of community that reminds them they are not alone in their faith. Proverbs 22:6 tells us to “train up a child in the way he should go,” and we take that seriously — not just on Sunday mornings, but in every opportunity we have to pour into the next generation. We have seen students come home from The Wilds changed, and we mean that in the best possible way. That is worth every effort it takes to get them there.

More than money, we are asking you to pray for the campers and for Pastor, as thier chaperone. The Lord Jesus Himself said in Matthew 9:38 to “pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest” — and our youth are both the harvest and the future labourers. Pray for safe travel, for open hearts, for counselors to have wisdom, and for the Holy Spirit to move freely. Let’s believe God for something real this summer.
