My Message for America - Repent

Luke 5:32

32 I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

Luke 15:7

7 I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.

Luke 24:47

47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

Acts 20:21

21 Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Thessalonians 1:9

9 For they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God;

Repentance is a change of mind about God, yourself, and sin that produces a changed life that honors God.

What is it Not?

It is not just sorrow

It is not good works

It is not punishment

It is not Karma

It is not Reformation

What Does it have to do with Saving Faith?

There is no such thing as saving faith without turning from your sins.

James – that kind of faith is dead

How Should We Do this?

Regularly

Over our sin

Weep over others sin
